Recycling has decreased 3.1 percentage points in the waste authority for West Berkshire

Back in 2015 West Berkshire District Council recycled 53.4% of its waste, landfilled 15.3%, and incinerated 29.7%.

By 2023 incineration had increased by 12.7 percentage points to 42.5%.

Recycling decreased over the same period by 3.1 percentage points to 50.3%. In 2023 6.4% of waste was landfilled.

There are currently 9 years left on a contract with Veolia.
