Back in 2014 Perth and Kinross recycled 56.5% of its waste, landfilled
41%, and incinerated 1.6%.
By 2022 incineration had increased by 5.2 percentage points to
6.8%.
Recycling decreased over the same period by 7.5
percentage points to 49%. In 2022 43.5% of waste was landfilled.
There are currently 9 years left on a contract with Paprec Energies Binn
Ltd. The total contract value is £75m.
