Recycling has increased 4 percentage points in the waste authority for South Ayrshire

Back in 2014 South Ayrshire recycled 50% of its waste, landfilled 34.4%, and incinerated 0.4%.

By 2022 incineration had increased by 7.6 percentage points to 8%.

Recycling increased over the same period by 4 percentage points to 54%. In 2022 31.4% of waste was landfilled.
